Quotes by

Frida Kahlo

1907-1954 ,  Mexican painter
Frida KahloKnown for her many self-portraits, and works inspired by the nature and the popular culture of Mexico. At 18, she had an accident which, combined with the polio since childhood, left her almost paralyzed.
She was married to cubist wall-painter Diego Rivera (both were members of the Mexican Communist Party).
She is an icon today, but Kahlo's work as an artist was forgotten until the late 1970s, when her work was rediscovered by art historians and political activists.
